Missions

God was in Christ, offering peace and forgiveness to the people of this world.  And he has given us the work of sharing his message about peace.

1 Corinthians 5: 19

The Emanuel fellowship reaches out into the community to serve and be “ambassadors for Christ.” Listed below are just a few of the missions we directly support.

Lazarus Caucus, Inc. is a faith-based, non-profit organization created to assist the homeless and formerly homeless in becoming employed,  self-sufficient, and permanent residents of Baltimore County. Lazarus’ purpose is to provide assistance to the Westside Shelter residents through a variety of programs that include, food, clothing, and a resource center. Lazarus is dedicated to providing an organization that can assist the homeless in both short-term and long-term needs,  through disciplined, organized action that is non-violent and politically non-partisan. Lazarus Caucus is entirely dependent upon the generous donations of time, money, clothing and food provided by  businesses, organizations,  and individuals within our communities. http://lazaruscaucus.org

The Board of Child Care is a human services organization that helps children. Since 1874, we have given children and their families hope for the future and power in their present lives. Today, we serve more than 1,300 people through our residential and community-based services.

Our goal is to build a bridge leading to independence, success and confidence for children facing adverse life circumstances. When they leave us, we want them prepared to meet the world and to live productive lives.

We invite you to learn more about our programs. Please join us in making a difference in the lives of children and families.  http://www.boardofchildcare.org/

In addition to the above mentioned mission projects Emanuel helps support Catonsville Elementary School to provide composition books for needy students and Bibles for Troops.
